Joe Royle

Really decent hostel. Possibly the only one I came across in Tanzania that has a social vibe similar to hostels in South-East Asia. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is decent and the atmosphere of the bar is social. Location within in Dar Es Salaam is good as it's within a quieter suburb slightly outside the city centre but very accessible by taxi. Good value for money
